All courses operated by TBJ Training are of seven hours duration as required by the Joint Approvals Unit for Periodic Training and are classroom based.
They are designed to be interesting and informative, encouraging participating delegates to be involved in discussions and exercises while not feeling pressured into doing so.
All courses are built around the three core subjects as required by EU Directive 2003/59/EC and approved by JAUPT
1. Advanced training in rational driving based on Safety Regulations:This includes Safe and Fuel Efficient Driving, Safe Loading of Vehicles, Fuel Consumption and Pollution.
2. Application of Regulations:
This includes Rules covering, Tachograph operation, both Analogue and Digital, Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive.
3. Health, Road and Environmental Safety, Service, Logistics, Passenger Safety, Customer Service etc.
Some approved courses:
Understanding Drivers Hours, Working time and Tachograph Recording.
Health & Safety in Road Transport, Manual Handling and Security.
Safe & Fuel Efficient Driving – Daily Walk Round Checks, Defect Reporting.
Load distribution end security, the effect of stress, driver administration
Costs for a 7 hour course range from £65.00 to £40.00 per delegate dependant on numbers booked.
In-house courses can be arranged subject to numbers and suitable facilities price available on request.
Courses can take place on any day of the week including Sundays.
